Lynn is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the UM Department of Psychology. She studies word learning and categorization in children with typical development and with language delays, including those with hearing loss or autism spectrum disorder. Ph.D. Student: Stevie Custode

Stevie is a fourth-year graduate student at the University of Miami. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.A. in Psychology, and received her M.A. from New York University in Human Development and Social Intervention in 2017. She is interested in early language development in typically and atypically developing populations as well as at-risk populations.

Ph.D. Student: Regina Fasano

Regina is a third-year graduate student at the University of Miami. She graduated from the University of Scranton with a B.S. in psychology in 2018. Her research interests include language development in typically and atypically developing children and preschool classroom interactions.

Research Associate: Brittney Gonzalez

Brittney is a recent recipient of a Master of Science Degree in Experimental Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She is looking forward to continuing her academic career by working in the field and gaining practical “hands on” knowledge of the research process in academia. Her research interests are linguistics and embodied cognition.

Research Assistant: Sarah Riley

Sarah is a recent graduate from Florida State University with a B.S. in psychology and minor in child development. She is interested in child and developmental psychology. She plans on pursuing a Masters in research, measurement and evaluation and eventually a Ph.D. in Psychology.

Research Assistant: Catalina Cepero

Catalina is a senior undergraduate student at the University of Miami majoring in Psychology with minors in Japanese, Chinese, and Math. She is interested in child and developmental psychology, as well as studying language development. After graduation, she hopes to attend graduate school for her Ph.D.

Research Assistant: Nicole Vershov

Nicole is a junior at the University of Miami majoring in neuroscience with minors in criminology and chemistry. She is interested in neurological processes as well as the study of atypical behavior. She one day hopes to work for the government as a behavioral analyst.

Research Assistant: Kaitlyn Karp

Kaitlyn is currently a junior at the University of Miami majoring in Psychology. After she graduates, Kaitlyn has hopes to attend graduate school for her Master's Degree in occupational therapy and obtain a certification to become a BCBA. Kaitlyn hopes to specifically work with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
